Adobe Acrobat Format (pdf)

The advantage of PDF format is that you can read it on most types of computers, even Palms and PocketPCs, as long as you have the free Acrobat Reader program. You can also print it. Most PCs and Macs come with Acrobat Reader installed -- all you have to do is download the story and click on it after saving it to your computer. If you need to install Acrobat Reader for your type of computer, you can get it for free at Adobe's Web site.

Acrobat versions of my stories may be available in two page layouts: Manuscript and Two-Column. Manuscript is double-spaced -- easy to read, but takes a lot of paper. Click to see a sample of Manuscript format. Two-Column format is single spaced in two side-by-side columns, like many magazines. It takes only half as many pages, but might be harder to read. Rich Text Format (RTF)

If you've got a word processor -- any word processor, including of course MS Word or WordPerfect -- you can download and open the RTF version. You can print it, just as you can the PDF version, but you can also use your word processor to reformat it -- make the print bigger, for example.

Palm Reader Format (pdb)

The Palm Reader version allows you to carry the story with you and read it on your Palm or PocketPC handheld. (For that matter, you can also read it on your PC or Mac, but you won't be able to print it, as you can with the two formats above.) You can get free reader programs for PalmOS or PocketPC (or Mac or Windows) from Palm Digital Media.
