Outside House Decorations
This was the overall effect.
This one was taken in the center, and you can see the Missy Tree (see below) through the window.)
Judi had a lit Santa and Snowman, but the red Impatiens (planted especially for the holiday season) were about to overwhelm them. Isn't that Christmas in Florida?
The main tree was the Missy Tree, a full-size white tree decorated to honor Missy the Beagle, who died this past year. There are nearly 100 ornaments on this tree, and every one of them is beagle-related:
The Trains and Planes Tree was a stylized metal, "fountain-like" tree, decorated entirely with ornaments of antique trains and plains:
The Rocking Horse Tree had layers of branches in a symmetrical "star" shape. Judi decorated this tree entirely with rocking horse ornaments. I have this one picture. The Snowflake Tree (see the next one, below) is visible in the background to the left.
The Snowflake Tree was an alpine Christmas tree, decorated with crystal and white porcelain snowflakes. It was on a rotating base, and had a snowflake tree skirt:
The Ty Tree was a smaller stylized metal one, decorated with Ty's new Jingle Beanies. Holiday and festive beanies from this and previous years were placed around it:
The Hallmark Tree was a miniature, table-top tree decorated with miniature ornaments representing classic toys. I have just this one picture.
The Palm Tree was decorated with flat, gold ornaments that are part of a Florida series that was put out some years ago. Each ornament features a representation of a Florida scene, such as an egret or a manatee. I have this one picture.
Finally, Judi put together a display using Hallmark's Mitford Snowmen. The Mitford Snowmen come in both plush and ornament form. She used the plush to create a scene on the shelves of a bookcase, and hung a wreath decorated with the ornaments over the bookcase:
